Native Silvopasture Trials in New Zealand Hill Country: Research Video

In this research video, we explore the results of native silvopasture trials we have done in New Zealand hill country between 2021 and 2023.
The trials were on establishing native trees in hill country in the presence of sheep and cattle.
Results of this project include:
- Survival of kānuka can vary between 70% and 100% depending on the climate, slope class, and angle.
- Verdantia Research’s new tree guard for establishing seedlings in the presence of sheep, cattle, goats, and hares.
